A Recent commission for a lady who loves Horses.
This piece was based on a dressage horse, and the shapes of the links are indicative of the horses movements in the arena.
Created in silver, this is a one off original, but I can design pieces to reflect themes you enjoy too. please feel free to enquire.
I go to St Ives at least once a year on holiday and get inspired . New pieces are added to my ranges as time passes, this one was a commission, but can be recreated in different precious metals and with your choice of stones , each piece is then still an original design.
three beads ring This one is to go into my ‘Garden’ range on my new website which you can see at:-
www.creative-jewellery.com and has the feel of nature about it, which is reflecting walks I have had in Cornwall and the Lake district too.
One of my most recent commissions has been to organize the creation of an orange sapphire and diamond ring for my client…..
this involved a large amount of careful stone setting and the sourcing of some very special stones, I have an excellent stone supplier, and my setter Craig is a
a master of intricate work like this and sets stunning pieces of aspirational jewellery like this for my clients.
The finished piece.
My thanks and best wishes go to my client for this special commission .
This is a ‘one off’ piece only, but is illustrating the high standard of work I can have made up for you if you wish to commission something special.
Most designs can be produced and if you have something special in mind please feel free to contact me.
This piece was a commission to create a Ruby engagement ring for my client, with a leaf details as decoration, I love the colour of this stone, rubies come in many shades varying from a bright pink to the mid ranges and deep reds.
If you are not sure of your preferences you can order a selection of stones on approval to choose from, and in varied shapes too, – square, pear or ovals are available in most of the precious stones as well as ruby.
please feel free to enquire, and I can design a piece for you in which the stone you choose can be set .

My thanks to my client for this lovely commission.
This 9ct white gold brooch set with peridot stones as the acorns, was a lovely commission created a while ago, I have just found the image to show you all.
Nature themes are a favorite subject for me and I am happy to work with you to create something special in any form, as a brooch or stick pins etc…
Just offered for sale :- This is an original hand crafted ‘Helen Burrell’ design,
A 9ct gold ring set with three beautiful matching tsavorite stones, based on a hedgerow theme, with leaves and berries entwined around the ring.
this was a complicated design to create and took many hours to do , but worth the time and effort as it worked out well, and sits beautifully on the finger.
The tsavorites are some of the best my stone supplier had seen in a long time , he was very excited about them, they are very bright green stones full of light and sparkle……….
please contact me if you would like it reserved,

Size ‘M’ (it could be made bigger or slightly smaller if required)
This gold pendant was a commission, many thanks to my client……
This is an example of a possible design for everyday wear, no two pieces are the same, and I can recycle things like a ring shank you may have from a family ring to make a pendant instead, so that the gold can be put back into use, and the family connections can be kept.
One of the services I offer is cuttlefish bone casting to create wedding bands, I can recycle any ‘family gold’you may have to create your wedding bands, or shanks for engagement or dress rings.
This keeps the sentiment and family connections within the piece and is done by using one of the oldest techniques of ‘cuttlefish bone’ casting.
The bone is cut in two, each half is flattened against the other by rubbing them together, then an impression is made into the bones in the form of a D shape or square groove. A shaped funnel is cut at the top of the bones once both halves are bound together. The molten gold can then be poured into it when casting. The cuttlefish can then be used as a mould for the gold bar required to make the ring.
Then once the gold is the right length and shape it can be formed into a circle and soldered, followed by filing to remove any marks or scratches and finally polishing is done to finish the ring……..
please feel free to contact me if you have special items you would like reworked and recycled.

I was recently asked to create a 9ct white gold pendant to match an existing ring my clients’ daughter had, which was set with a beautiful yellow sapphire and diamonds.
I ordered in a selection of sapphires for my clients to choose from to get an exact match with the stone in the ring, and then designed the pendant around it.
I generally use ‘gvs’ quality diamonds in my work and these set the sapphire off very well, small details in yellow gold in the form of ivy leaves and bead highlights decorated the piece.
The shank from a special gold ring my client already had was used to make the pendant bail.
This was a lovely piece to work on, and my thanks go to the clients for the commission.
wave on the beach ring set with a sapphire and a gvs quality diamond.
This design can be recreated in any precious metal, with your own choice of stones. please feel free to enquire. tel. 01509 239348
