transformations of reworked family gold

Here is another example of a transformation of reworked family gold.

– my client requested that I designed and created for them a special gift for a little girl , which would be given to her on her 18th birthday.

-they gave me some special family jewellery that had been gathered together for the purpose , some lovely rings that had very nice colourful stones in them ,  a ruby, diamonds sapphires and an emerald.

Between us we came up with the idea of a pendant in the form of a dragonfly , this was made by various methods such as casting up the ring shanks for the body of the dragonfly, and piercing out the wings from the wide wedding ring I was given .

The body of the dragonfly had the colourful stones set into it and the diamonds were flush set into the wings.

transformation of the reworked family gold -to creating the special piece …

Here are the photos of the rings and the design and the finished piece.
