This was a commission from some good friends who wanted to commemorate a special occasion with this distinctive champagne bottle top .
I created it in Silver following my clients brief, to depict bubbles popping, with domes of silver and yellow citrines set in it in a random pattern.
It’s always good to work together with clients on design ideas, and I was sent a picture of it being worn by her when she received it,- It looked great on her Winter jumper , many thanks to you both for the commission .
A Bespoke stud
This is a very kind testimonial from my client:- Adrian
‘My recent commission from Helen Burrell was prompted by a case of ‘Mid Life Crisis’ ( or rather ‘Mod’ life crisis!) I had, for some time, been trying to source a gents yellow gold , single stud earring depicting the iconic Red, White & Blue Mod Roundel using preferably, set stones. Having trawled the internet thoroughly I was unsuccessful – no surprise there as such a piece existed only in my mind’s eye as I had never actually seen such a piece. The decision was then made that the only way forward was to have one created for me – so back to the internet, where I arrived at Helens website. After reading her excellent reviews, I got in touch & I am so glad that I did. The finished piece was exactly what I had envisaged. The attention to detail & interpretation of my requirements was amazing & resulted in a 11mm gold stud using no less than 22 precious stones of exceptional quality to achieve the desired design which was subtle & tasteful – important when you are an aging Mod the wrong side of 50 & cannot get away with wearing anything too outlandish! However, in certain light, the fire & sparkle of the stones really are something – but I am sure I can get used to this! You could be forgiven for thinking that a bespoke piece of this quality would be prohibitively expensive but I was surprised to find this was not the case. Helen is a lovely lady who clearly cares about what she does & how she does it to achieve that special piece for her clients. If you want to obtain the unobtainable in bespoke jewellery, give her a call – You will not be disappointed!’

Handmade silver Bracelet designed and created by Helen Burrell ©
Silver Hare running through a fence
This was a commissioned piece handmade for a lady who loves hares, she asked me to design a piece of jewellery for her, and together we came up with this idea.
My client kindly sent me this testimonial once she had collected her special piece :-
I went to see Helen as I had seen her work when I was browsing on the internet for local jewellery designers and it really inspired me. I had in my mind a bracelet that captured the essence of myself and my husband. One of our favourite things to do is to go walking in the countryside as we are both nature lovers. I have a fascination with hares, and my husband has an interest in birds. When I discussed this with Helen she came up with the idea of creating a silver bracelet that looked like a fence with a hare running through the middle of it. I also asked her to incorporate an odd diamond that I had and also I wanted to use some of the gold in a ring that belonged to my gran.
It wasn’t long until Helen emailed me a picture that she had drawn of the bracelet as she imagined it. It was at this point that I knew Helen was the right jewellery designer for me!
The finished bracelet is exquisite and I cannot recommend Helen highly enough. The bracelet captures everything I wanted and more, from the gorgeous hare running through the middle of it to the tiny birds nest with a tiny gold egg nestling in it. Helen is not only a lovely lady but an extremely professional person who interpreted my thoughts really well and created a bracelet I am very proud to wear.
I am enjoying the bracelet very much- I will be saving my pennies up for another fabulous creation!!

My thanks to Jane for the commission, and of course for the lovely testimonial too .
I love telling stories in my jewellery and creating pieces that are not based on fashion, -which is always a passing trend, but on something that truly reflects my customers identity and wraps up past memories for them in a beautiful way, as life long expressions and reminders of special times or places.
what is your story ? please feel free to get in touch …..
